1. Privacy at a glance

General information

The following notes give a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data by which you can be personally identified.

Who is responsible for collecting data?

Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You will find their contact details in the section “Information on the controller”.

How do we collect your data?

Some of your data is collected because you give it to us — for instance when you write us an e-mail or call us. Other data is collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the website, such as your browser, operating system and the time of access.

What rights do you have?

You have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data, and the right to have that data corrected or erased.

2. Hosting

We host the content of our website with the following provider:

Alfahosting GmbH
Edmund-von-Lippmann-Straße 13–15
06112 Halle (Saale), Germany

The provider processes personal data arising when our website is accessed — in particular the information recorded in the server log files. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR: a legitimate interest in providing our website securely and efficiently.

A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider. The server is located in Germany.

3. General information and mandatory disclosures

Data protection

We take the protection of your personal data seriously and treat it confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection law.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract handed over to you or to a third party.

Information, correction and erasure

You have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the processing, and the right to have that data corrected or erased.

4. Data collection on this website

Server log files

The provider of these pages automatically collects and stores information in what are known as server log files, which your browser transmits: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request and IP address.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of the website.

Enquiries by e-mail, telephone or contact form

If you contact us by e-mail, telephone or via the contact form, your enquiry including all personal data arising from it will be stored and processed for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass this data on without your consent.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to the performance of a contract or to pre-contractual measures; in all other cases Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — a legitimate interest in dealing with the enquiries addressed to us.

The data remains with us until you ask us to erase it, withdraw your consent or the purpose ceases to apply. Mandatory statutory provisions — retention periods in particular — remain unaffected.

Map display (OpenStreetMap)

On the page “Where we fly” you can display a map. The map images come from the servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom. When the map is loaded, your browser transmits your IP address as well as technical details such as browser type and operating system to them.

The map is not loaded automatically. It appears only once you click “Load the map”. Without that click no connection to OpenStreetMap takes place. The legal basis is therefore your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG; you may withdraw it at any time by reloading the page and not requesting the map.

The locations of the airfields come from our own logbook and are held on our own server. Which airfields are shown is also set out as a list on the same page — nothing is loaded for that.

No cookies, no analytics

This website sets no cookies, embeds no external fonts and uses no tools to measure reach. The only connection to an external server occurs when you expressly load the map.
